The Bishop of West Ankole diocese has finally come out to speak on 75 acres of katikamwe land which were supposed to be sold in August 2025 after all other committees approved the sale of katikamwe land by all relevant committees including the diocesan council.
The revelation was made today morning OCT. 18, 2025 in the telephone interview by www.mknewslink.com managing director Mr.Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante .
The Bishop revealed that the sale of katikamwe land will be decided upon by the synod which will sit next year to conclude it’s term of four years .The synod sits twice in four years of its term.
The call was made early morning today and became a missed call and immediately the Bishop called the MD of this website back and the interview took only two minutes.
Katikamwe land raised extreme dust, curses from the Christians calling upon the Bishop not dare sale the land located in Kyabugimbi town council Bushenyi district.
The Bishop never answered anyone but Christians kept on in boxing him on his whatsapp number telling him not to sale since what was remaining was a sale agreement and it was a done deal. The 2.2billion LAND already had a buyer.
Katikamwe land was bought by Rt Rev.Yoram Bamunoba the first Bishop of West Ankole diocese and after that all the predecessor Bishops who have tried to sale that land have always failed.
Majority of the Christians of West Ankole diocese are not comfortable with the methods of work of Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni because he is not bringing in development at the quickest time possible.
The Bishop assured Christians in that interview that the state of art cathedral will be constructed and the works are on going.
Next story on about Jubilee sacco’s problems shared in the above interview.
