Blacks Power Confirm 7 New Players

Blacks Power have confirmed upto seven new players ahead of the 2024/25 FUFA Big League season that starts early next month.

Amongst the top new signings at the Lira-based club is goalkeeper Micheal Okiria from Uganda Premier League side NEC.

Defender John Paul Acire has also returned to Blacks Power, from NEC, while another defender Henry Orom has also joined in from Kyetume.

Meanwhile, the club has also signed former BUL and Mbale Heroes forward Fredson Gwoto, plus former Ndejje University and UPDF striker Taban Philip.

Forward, Nathan Oloro, formerly of Kitara, Onduparaka, Arua Hill and Calvary has also joined the club, while midfielder Andrea Ogwal came in from Lira City Council.

Meanwhile, the club has also confirmed the departure of upto eight players; Tony Kyamera, Onen Franco, Musamali Paul, Malish Jamal, Ogik Norman, Elungat Robert, Omeri David and Omagor John.

The Lira-based side is targeting promotion back to the top division, where they played some two seasons ago.

The former Big League winners will start their campaign at home, against Arua Hill at the Aki Bua Memorial Stadium, Lira on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
