Bright Stars and Mbarara City settled for a point in their UPL fixture at Kavumba, ending in a 1-1 draw.
Nelson Senkatuuka gave the hosts an early lead with his 12th goal of the season, a stunning long-range strike into the top left corner.
Henry Kitegenyi leveled the score for the visitors just before halftime with his 7th goal of the season from a spot kick awarded for a foul by Samuel Kato in the forbidden area.
Despite both teams creating chances, the second half favored the visitors, with Captain Joseph Akandwanaho hitting the crossbar and Hassan Matovu denying Kitegenyi’s close-range effort.
The result leaves both teams on 24 points each, with Bright Stars in 11th place and Mbarara City in 10th, separated by goal difference.
Next, Bright Stars will face Busoga United, while Mbarara City will host Gaddafi, both matches scheduled for next Friday.
