FUFA Big League side Buhimba United Saints FC has confirmed the appointment of Lutalo George William as their new head coach on a one-year contract.

Coach Lutalo, a CAF A holder, was officially unveiled by Club President Eng. Ahuura Julius at the club’s offices.

Lutalo expressed his excitement, saying, “I’m delighted to join a winning team and return to Kigaaya playground, a winning ground.”

He brings a wealth of experience, having recently led the Uganda Women’s National team, the Crested Cranes, to success.

Lutalo takes over from Nkata Paul, who joined Kagera Sugar in Tanzania.

His coaching career spans stints at Gaddafi FC, Kitara FC, Onduparaka FC, URA FC, and others.

Notably, he led the Crested Cranes to the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco in 2022, ending a 20-year absence.

As a player, Lutalo had a distinguished career with Police FC (1996-2003), serving as team captain. He also featured and captained the Ndiga clan.

Set for their debut season in Big League, Buhimba United Saints have already signed Job Owori, Edison Agondeze, Derrick Byabachwezi, John Adriko and Davis Kakaire.
