BUL FC Unveils Midfielder Ramz Kawooya

Uganda Premier League side BUL FC has bolstered its midfield by signing experienced midfielder Ramz Kawooya on a two-year deal.

Kawooya, who spent the 2023-2024 season with Express FC, brings a wealth of experience to his new club.

The 31-year-old midfielder had a spell in Sweden, where he played for several clubs. His journey includes stints at Vaxjo United (2012-2016), Almeboda IF Inneryd (2017-2019), FK Karlskrona (2019-2021), and IF Nybro (2022-2023).

Kawooya expressed his excitement about joining BUL FC, saying, “I’m thrilled to join BUL FC and already feel at home. I’m impressed with the team’s ambitions, and I believe BUL FC is a team to watch. My move here will undoubtedly boost my career, and I’m eager to help the team achieve its goals.”

“I promise to bring my expertise and leadership to the table, and I’m confident that together, we can achieve great things.”

His addition is part of BUL FC’s efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the upcoming season.

Kawooya is the second player to join from Express FC, following the earlier signing of Isaac Wagoina.

Head coach Abbey Kikomeko praised the acquisition, stating, “Kawooya is a fantastic addition to our squad. His experience and expertise will be crucial in our quest for success. He fits perfectly into our style of play, and we’ve been missing a player of his caliber.”

BUL FC earlier added Isaac Musiima from Ntungasaze FC, goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga after a short spell in Rwanda, and forward Yafeesi Mubiru, among others.
