Calling Upon Veterans and Children of Veterans in Luweero Triangle to Focus at Service Delivery

I appreciate all veterans in Luwero triangle especially those in greater luwero for liberating uganda.All combatants,all civilian veterans many thanks,i appreciate all your efforts,all strategies you applied to liberate our country by 1986.

Gen Yoweri Museveni and fellow fighters under the National Resistance Army(NRA) have serious reasons why they initiated a bush war against obote’s regime and the major objective of the war was to RESTORE PEACE AND STABILITY in uganda.I thank God that the mission of NRA fighters was positive by 1986.

It should be noted that the leader of the resistance has compensated almost all veterans who participated in the war.It should be noted however that many will never appreciate,H:E Museveni has tried his best to rehabilitate all veterans,creating programs which have benefited veterans and their families.

I’ve for long preached PATRIOTISM where it’s an obligation/task of every ugandan to love,serve and protect our country uganda.Many ugandans have however failed to understand.

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has initiated different programs intended to change lives of our people in the war zone,many programs have been created by the leading party to see lives of ugandans change.Many veterans and children of veterans are beneficiaries of EMYOOGA,NAADS,P.D.M,O.W.C,etc.

*The purpose of this letter therefore is to call upon all veterans and fellow children of veterans to focus on service delivery and put emphasis on projects which benefit all our people.Lets accept that all people of greater luwero,all people of Luwero triangle suffered consequences of the transition.I kasoma joshua zake request all people who suffered consequences of the war to focus at projects which benefit us all,institutions which benefit all our communities than focusing at benefiting as individuals.* ( The question is who fought and who didn’t fight?,who didn’t suffer repacations of the struggle in greater luwero & Luwero triangle?).

My fellow leaders in greater luwero,all leaders in Luwero triangle,all veterans,all children of veterans,i request we stop focusing at akasiimo/compensation,lets focus at projects which will change our communities more,projects which will kick poverty out of the war zone.

*It’s my assumption that funds under the compensation program which many have taken as a business,a program am sure will never satisfy all veterans to zero be diverted to infrastructual development,improving sectors like Health and Education in the war zone.*

What i need to see in Greater Luwero and Luwero triangle is::::

-Improved medical care (making sure that all health facilities in the region are well equipped with the necessary medical equipment,increasing budget of national medical stores (NMS) to increase on medicine & medical equipment supplied in all health facilities).

-Improved education infrastructure,accomplishment of seed schools.

-Tarmacking of key roads like (kabimbiri -zirobwe-bamunanika-wobulenzi/kisule -nakaseke-kapeeka-kituuma road),(Kalule-nakaseke-kiwoko-ngoma),(Luwero -kikyusa road),e.t.c.

-Increased supply of Hydro electric power (H.E.P) in the war zone.

-Increased supply of water(boreholes,irrigation schemes).

-Increased fund of the parish development model (PDM) and EMYOOGA SACCOS.

Let’s change our mindset,let’s mind services which benefit all our people in the war zone.
