Know more about PGP draws and processes involved

The Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) draw will be held in Canada this week, maybe as early as today. Over a two-week period, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) intend to pick 30,000 applicants from the draw. Individuals who submitted an Interest to Sponsor form on the IRCC website between October 13, 2020 and November 3, 2020 will be considered.

Please keep an eye on the email address you used to submit your Interest to Sponsor form during the following two weeks to see whether you receive an invitation. Check your spam/junk folders for communications from IRCC as well. Sponsors and applicants who get a sponsorship invitation will have only 60 days to file a comprehensive immigration application, including supporting papers such as income tax records, civil status documents, and other material information.

Receiving an invitation may prove to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for your loved ones to gain permanent residency. As a result, you must respond immediately.

If you do not receive a PGP 2021 invitation, consider applying for a Super Visa

If you do not receive a PGP 2021 invitation, you should consider applying for a Super Visa. Super Visas are good for up to ten years and allow your parents and grandparents to visit Canada.
