•JT Jaguars 53-73 City Oilers

City Oilers surged past the JT Jaguars with a final score of 73-53 in the National Basketball League at Lugogo on Wednesday.

The match started off as a tight contest, with the Jaguars matching the nine-time champions stride for stride.

However, the momentum shifted dramatically in the final quarter.

Despite trailing by only six points after the third quarter, the Jaguars struggled to keep pace as the Oilers launched a relentless offensive onslaught.

The Oilers began the fourth quarter with a blistering 10-4 run, seizing control of the game and never relinquishing their lead.

Leading the charge for the victorious Oilers was Jimmy Enabu, who notched an impressive 17 points. Titus Lual made a triumphant return with a double-double performance, contributing 11 points and securing an equal number of rebounds. Additionally, Tonny Drilleba added 11 points to the Oilers’ winning tally.

Although George Agasi and Chuma Fadhil of the JT Jaguars delivered commendable double-double performances, scoring 17 points with 13 rebounds and 11 points with 10 rebounds respectively, their efforts were not enough to overcome the Oilers’ dominance.

A crucial factor in the Oilers’ victory was their superiority in rebounding, outclassing the Jaguars with a commanding 58-48 margin. Furthermore, the Jaguars struggled from beyond the arc, managing a mere 4-for-26 shooting from deep.

This triumph marks the Oilers’ fourth consecutive victory since their lone defeat to Nam Blazers earlier in the season.

Meanwhile, the JT Jaguars, in their debut season in the top flight, suffered their fourth loss in eight games under the leadership of Sudi Ulanga.
