In their continued preparations for the first leg of the ICC Challenge League B, the Cricket Cranes are in South Africa for a 12-day training camp that will conclude on October 12.

The Cranes jetted in, in Centurion on Monday, and began their preparations with a T20 game against the Titans XI on Tuesday which they won by 4 wickets.

This is a second preparational tournament the Cricket Cranes are involved in after their bilateral series against PNG a week ago. The series was played in Entebbe and it ended in a stalemate (2-2) after the Cricket Cranes came two down to level it.

In South Africa, Abhay Sharma’s charges will take part in six 50 Over games against three select teams namely Titans, Wits and Camp Discovery. They will also hold various training sessions during their stay in the southern country.

The aim like aforementioned is to ready themselves for the Challenge League B- a cricket tournament which forms part of the 2027 Cricket World Cup qualification process.

It will be hosted in Uganda in November and it will feature six nations including Tanzania, Italy, Bahrain, Singapore, and Hong Kong China.

Youngster Joseph Baguma also got a node while Raghav Dawani who earned his first cap with the national team against PNG retains his place and will play for the national team for the first team outside Uganda.

The full travelling squad include; Riazat Ali Shah (CPT), Robinson Obuya, Fred Achellam, Simon Ssesazi, Henry Ssenyondo, Alpesh Ramjani, Pascal Murungi, Cyrus Kakuru, Dinesh Nakrani, Juma Miyaji, Cosmos Kyewuta, Frank Nsubuga, Kenneth Waiswa, Joseph Baguma, Roger Mukasa and Raghav Dawani.
