FUFA President Magogo Loses a Mother

Kampala – The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced the death of Nakisuyi Ruth Biribawa Safia, the mother of its president,Hon Moses Magogo.

According to a statement released on Wednesday April 8, 2026, Nakisuyi passed away at Kampala Hospital. FUFA described the loss as deeply saddening, noting that it comes shortly after the passing of Magogo’s aunt, adding to the family’s grief.

The football body extended condolences to Magogo, his family, and to the Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among, who has also lost her mother-in-law.

A vigil is scheduled to take place at the family’s ancestral home in Kagulu, Buyende District, on April 9, 2026, while burial arrangements are set for Friday April 10 in Buyende.

It is on that background that FUFA has called upon the football fraternity and the public to keep the bereaved family in their prayers during this difficult time.
