HON ANNET MUGISHA TO WIN BUSHENYI DISTRICT WOMAN MP SEAT WITH OVER 70%-OPINION POLL

The incumbent woman MP for Bushenyi district and NRM flag bearer Hon Annet Katusiime Mugisha will win the Jan. 15, 2026 parliamentary race with over 70%. This according to an opinion poll done by mk news link.com news website based in greater western Uganda.
The opinion poll was done the whole of last week in Greater Kyamuhunga, Greater Nyabubare, Kakanju, Greater Kyeizooba, Greater Kyabugimbi, Bumbaire, Ibare and Bushenyi Ishaka municipality.
The poll was also done while comparing support between Hon. Annet Mugisha, Ms Viany Kemigisha Nyamyonyi and Ms carol Namara. It covered the youth, women and men.
In Kyeizooba sub-county and Rwentuha town council, Hon Annet Mugisha led the poll with 90% whereas Viany Kemigisha Nyamunyonyi polled 7% and Ms Carol Namara got 3%.
Hon Annet Mugisha also polled 90% in Bumbaire and Ibare sub-counties and her rival Ms Viany Kemigisha Nyamunyonyi got 8% and Ms Carol Muhereza got 2%.
In Greater Kyabugimbi including Ruhumuro sub-county, Hon Annet Mugisha polled 80% and Viany Kemigisha got 15% whereas Ms Carol Muhereza got 5%
In Bushenyi Ishaka municipality in the three divisions of Ishaka, central and Nyakabirizi; Hon. Annet Mugisha got 60% whereas her rival Ms Viany Kemigisha got 35% and Ms Carol Muhereza got 5%.
Igara west; Greater Nyabubare with two sub counties and a town council, Hon. Annet Mugisha got 75% and Ms Viany Kemigisha was ranked second with 20% whereas Ms Carol Muhereza got 5%
In Kakanju sub-county where Nyamunyonyi is born, She got 48% whereas Hon Annet Mugisha got 50% and Ms Carol Muhereza received 2%.
In Greater Kyamuhunga where Carol Muhereza is married, she got 10% whereas Ms Viany Nyamunyonyi got 10% too and Hon Annet Mugisha received 80%. Significant support was identified in Bitoma town council. This was for Ms Viany Nyamunyonyi.
Finally the two major candidates Hon. Annet Mugisha and Ms Viany Kemigisha Nyamunyonyi are working absolutely hard but on voting day Jan. 15, 2026, there will be no much difference from the above results in www.mknewslink.com opinion poll
