I do not need permission to pray – Winnie Byanyima

Kampala– Hon. Winnie Byanyima, the wife of jailed PFF Political Party Col.Dr.Kiiza Besigye re emphasized it that to pray he doesn’t require any body’s permission.

“I do not need permission to pray, Freedom of worship is a fundamental human right.” Winnie Byanyima via her social media platforms

She also stated that she currently waits President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s response about the suspended Mass which had been organized to pray for Dr.Kiiza Besigye and all political prisoners

” I await a response from President @KagutaMuseveni explaining why a Holy Mass I requested from my church leader was ordered postponed. I am seeking an explanation, not permission.” She added

Byanyima also added that if granted an opportunity, she will  assure the President that this is a family act of faith, not a political event, and I am prepared to share the Order of Mass for clarity.

The Mass for Political Prisoners which had been scheduled to take place at Rubaga Cathedral early this week was postponed over unclear circumstances.
