Former Bright Stars winger Ibrahim Kasinde is ‘just waiting’ to be unveiled as a new NEC player after signing a one-year deal with the Die Hards.
The pacy winger, who has been out of action for a whole season last featured for Bright Stars in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) in 2023.
He had joined Bright Stars back in 2020, and played there for three full seasons, but has now confirmed that he will not be continuing with the club.
“Dear Stars, today marks the end of an unforgettable chapter in my life – a three year journey filled with countless memories,” Kasinde revealed on Monday.
He added: “Before leaving , I wanted to thank the board, the manager and the staff for giving me the chance to prove myself at the highest level.”
“Today I leave, but I will never forget any of you, I wish the very best for the club in the future until we meet again. Thank you Bright Stars.”
The former Masaza Star with giants Ssingo, Gomba and Busujju has gathered wide experience in Ugandan football that will help improve NEC’s wing-attack play.
Kasinde also formerly played for the Uganda Hippos, and played part in the U20 AFCON Qualifiers held in Sudan in 2022.
