A total of 7391 invitations made to Manitoba’s PNP candidates from the beginning of 2021

On September 2, Manitoba welcomed 602 immigrant candidates to file for a provincial nomination. Candidates who have been invited may be nominated through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). If they are approved, the nomination will be used to support their final application for Canadian permanent residence, and they will be able to apply as Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates.

The results of the most recent draws are as follows:

Manitoba Skilled Workers— 463 invites with a minimum EOI score of 445;

Overseas Skilled Workers — 84 invites with a minimum EOI score of 698; and

International Education Stream – 55 invites are available with no EOI score required.

Express Entry aspirants received 101 invites, commonly known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs).

Express Entry is an application management system for permanent residence under the three federal high-skilled immigration programs: the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program. It is possible to bypass the PNP process and get a PR invitation with the help of Express Entry. A bonus of 600 points with provincial nomination almost assures that IRCC will ask you to apply for Canadian permanent residency.

When you submit your profile under Express Entry, your profile is ranked on the basis of CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score. CRS take into account your age, work experience, education, language abilities and many other factors. Later on, with the help of these scores, regular Express Entry draws are released wherein the top-scoring applicants are invited to apply for permanent residency.

 All about the Manitoba immigration programs

Manitoba’s immigration policies are overseen by the MPNP, which facilitates immigration applications to the federal government. Although Canadian provinces lack the ability to grant permanent status, they can help candidates by providing provincial nominations. To get a nomination from Manitoba, you must first submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) under the MPNP, only then you’ll be eligible for a LAA under the Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba programs. Thereafter, Manitoba will award points to the eligible candidates out of 1,000. These points are based on the human capital traits and connections to the province of the candidate. The Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams are designed to assist the government in locating individuals who meet the province’s labour market criteria.

Candidates from other provinces must have ties to Manitoba, such as close family ties, prior experience in the province, or an invitation from one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives which means that to be eligible, you do not need to be a Manitoba resident at the time of your application.

To be qualified for an invitation under the Skilled Workers category in Manitoba, you must have a full-time job offer from a provincial firm.

International graduates who finish their studies in Manitoba may be eligible for an invitation through the International Education Stream if they can demonstrate in-demand abilities.
