URA subjected Mbale Heroes to their third defeat of the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League (UPL) season thanks to an hat-trick from Ivan Ahimbisibwe.
The Tax Collectors registered their second win of the campaign, as the Surgeons lost their first game at home in a 4-0 humiliation, infront of their own fans at Mbale stadium.
The Tax Collectors got three early goals to get into a very comfortable leading position within the opening 35 minutes of the game.
Ivan Ahimbisibwe completed his hat-trick in the first half, scoring in the 12th, 17th and 33rd minutes respectively. The striker now has four UPL goals to his name, so far – joint top scorer with Mbarara City’s Seiri Arigumaho.
URA got the fourth goal less than fifteen minutes into the second half. Amisi Bwangani scored in the 59th minute to all but seal the emphantic win for the visitors.
The Tax Collectors, with seven points have now moved into the top four – third on the table, just three points behind leaders KCCA (10).
Meanwhile, Mbale Heroes maintain their (12th) position on the table, despite losing on Saturday.
Next up for Mbale Heroes is an away tie against Lugazi on October 16, while URA will host BUL at Nakivubo on October 18.
