Guagnzou is one of China’s bristling market cities and I believe our own Kampala fits over 20 times the size and has a population of around 20 million people. That implies, half the population of uganda lives in the city of Guangzhou

As an adventurer , I took time to go around the city, visiting factories and window shopping in several places and admiring the underground trains , architecture and unique buildings.

I was surprised  seeing many people and cars from Bayun airport to down town where we spent a night at hotel “Two minutes” a popular spot for Ugandan traders.

Reaching the hotel I felt good listening to Kabakas language as if I was on a street in Nabugabo.

.I didnt expect to find so many people from home at a single spot!

I booked into my room and joined some of the conversations of traders and  realised that nite that some people travel to China and back every week! Always on phone with customers in Kampala making orders and sending samples on a variety of products. I felt like this is the work I want to do when I retire from Politics. I spent several days around going to several places but observed something very strange in the market!

The chinese are very polite and care about customers so much. They give you a variety of price offers ranging in quality. When you’re black they instantly guess you’re from Nigeria or somewhere there. Then they ask, do you want goods for African market?  How much do you need? Then they start concentrating on goods for African market which are obviously very cheap and low quality. They spend little time talking about quality expensive  products. They know deep down that Africans given a chance cant buy quality expensive stuff and I realised they’re right.

An African will do whatever it takes when given a chance to discard the good in favour of low quality. I observed this trait in the just concluded elections, how people of sound mind, elect half baked deliquents to be their MPs and you want to compete with people who sent Oulanya.

Its a mind boggling experience to see the people of my district vote out Hon.Dr.Jc Muyingo, over issues best known to them but the big reason is, we prefer low quality especially in Buganda.

People are busy struggling to put down their succeeding neighbor’s and to them we must go down together. Some young man told me that we are going to elect even Jerricans as long as they’re I Umbrella!!

I knew from there that nature of loving low quality and loathing good is pulling these Africans.

How do you systematically elect  Jerrycans to be the heads of the family, what are the consequences of your choices?

Katikamu     I reserve my comment not to be misconstrued.

I see people throwing snide and derogatory statements at the best Katikiro Buganda has ever had and you wonder!

I invite anybody who’s willing to travel this journey of changing peoples mindset to come and join the excursion .Our boat is sinking before our own eyes .The way it is, quality people will leave leadership to the Jerrycans because it’s a generation of jerrycans.
