Jubillee sacco west Ankole diocese, a sacco supposed to be owned by many members is owned by only three people; Bishop Johnson, son in-law Jude Natamba and treasurer Enid Tugume.
According to credible sources, the other board members chaired by Rev Can Arthur Atwine are merely rubber stamps because the decision makers are the above three.
The source added that the Bishop had taken the sacco as his person bank because he picks there money at any time he wants and is well known for being hungry for money.
Mknewslink.com met one the board members who is also a dean of Cathedral Bweranyangi Rev. Can. Makuru John who complained that the earlier stories published were not true but the MD of this company told him off that the company is in three hands; Bishop, son in-law Jude Natamba and treasurer Enid Tugume.
Jubelee sacco started many years back by emeritus bishop William Magambo to help the retiring clergy to get pention and borrow money for survival. But now it has been messed up to the extent that the intended beneficiaries are not benefiting from the sacco.
The reason to worry is the fact that the sacco has had three general managers in three years; Allan, Kenneth and currently Mugisha Ronald. When Mknewslink MD put this question to the Bishop, he said that the former managers didn’t have satisfying academic documents.
Another reason to worry, is the fact that the two general managers and the current one are still working in the same company which is suicidal in management.
