•Uganda Martyrs Vs Kampala Queens – 4pm
Kampala Queens can go joint top of the FUFA Women Super League with a win against Uganda Martyrs on Saturday.
Leaders Kawempe, on 28 points ,will not be in action until Sunday.
It’s strong to note that Kampala Queens’ midweek fixture against Asubo Ladies was postponed, and they come into this fixture having had more rest.
Their last fixture was on Sunday when they failed to beat Rines in a game that ended goalless.
“Both teams are going to come out to fight for maximum points but I think we are far more prepared to take the day,” said Kampala Queens Assistant Coach Ali Zzinda.
“Every game comes with it’s own challenges, the last time it was our inability to score but we made good homework in training and we want to attack from the first minute.”
Uganda Martyrs who are fourth on the table, are six points behind Kampala Queens in second place.
But despite the big gap in points, it promises to be a close encounter at Rubaga.
Uganda Martyrs will be looking for revenge against Kampala Queens having lost the first round fixture in contentious circumstances.
Latifa Nakasi had put Uganda Martyrs in the lead during the first half, but substitute Shamirah Nalugya leveled the playing field with a contentious penalty that shouldn’t have been given.
Center referee, Naigaga Habiba, shockingly pointed to the spot, ruling that Striker Fazila Ikwaput had been fouled by goalkeeper Sharon Kaidu after Asia Nakibuuka’s precise cross.
Catherine Nagadya then scored the winner for Kampala Queens to seal maximum points at Lugogo
