Reports have surfaced indicating that Kanye West is facing financial challenges, owing over $1 million in property and business taxes for his Yeezy company and two homes he shared with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

According to The Daily Mail’s report on Wednesday (January 3), Yeezy Apparel, LLC, Kanye’s company, is grappling with four liens totaling $934,033.56, representing three years of overdue taxes. Additionally, the rapper is reported to owe $101,093 in property taxes for two Calabasas homes that he jointly purchased with Kim Kardashian while they were still a couple.

This news follows recent reports that Kanye West is looking to sell another one of his properties, a $53 million Malibu mansion that he bought in 2021. An alleged insider revealed that Kanye is dissatisfied with the property’s color scheme, as it doesn’t align with his preference for earth tones. The source explained that Kanye’s design team had even collected soil samples from various locations for color references.

The mansion, designed by renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando, features concrete architecture and offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. However, Kanye reportedly found the color of the concrete unsettling, leading to his decision to put the property on the market last month.

Despite facing various legal challenges and lawsuits, Kanye West received a positive development this week when his former business manager dismissed a lawsuit accusing the rapper of breaching their contract. Thomas St. John, the former business manager, informed the court of the dismissal, and Kanye reciprocated by dropping his countersuit, which claimed the contract was signed under duress.

I had a great time with that, too. Despite the high quality of the visuals and the prose, you find yourself eagerly anticipating what happens next. If you decide to defend this walk, it will basically be the same every time.
