•KCCA 4-1 Busoga United
KCCA beat Busoga United 4-1 in a Uganda Premier League game played at Lugogo.
Saidi Mayanja scored a brace while Usama Arafat and Filbert Obenchan added a goal each for Abdallah Mubiru’s side.
Substitute Franco Mugoma pulled one back for Busoga United in the 79th minute but it proved a little too late for the Visitors.
Obenchan set the tone when he powered in an header off Saidi Mayanja’s corner just after the 17th minute.
Mayanja then got on the scoresheet when, after receiving neatly from Emmanuel Alex Wasswa, fired Into the roof to double the lead before halftime.
Mayanja got his brace five minutes into the second stanza when he tapped in from close range after brilliant work from Usama Arafat.
Usama then got his goal, lifting it over goalkeeper Michael Lutaaya who had moved a distance off his goal-line.
Franco Mugomba pulled one back for the Visitors, benefited from poor goalkeeping after KCCA failed to defend a corner.
It’s the third win in a row for KCCA and 10th overall this season after 21 games, and the side move 7th with 32 points.
Busoga United who remain winless in last seven league games, remain third from the bottom with 17 points, just a point adrift of safety.
What next – KCCA visit Gaddafi on April 5 while Busoga United will welcome SC Villa two days later.
