KCCA FC in Talks for Return of Former Striker

0

Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC is in advanced discussions with former striker Derrick Nsibambi for a potential return to the club.

Nsibambi, who is currently a free agent after his contract with Kenyan side Bandari FC expired at the end of last season, could soon be donning the yellow of KCCA FC once again.

If the deal materializes, this would mark Nsibambi’s second stint with the Lugogo-based side.

The prolific forward first played for KCCA FC from 2014 to 2018, a period during which he made a significant impact before moving to Egypt’s Smouha SC.

His return would be a timely boost for KCCA FC as they prepare for the upcoming Uganda Premier League season.

KCCA FC will be aiming to reclaim the league title, and the potential addition of Nsibambi could help fill the void left by Shaban Muhammad, who recently departed for Libya’s Al Hilal Benghazi.

At 30 years old, Nsibambi brings a wealth of experience, having also featured for clubs such as Kira Young, URA FC, Al-Bashaer Club, and Bandari FC.

Reliable sources indicate that Nsibambi has already been training with KCCA FC and even featured in the club’s most recent pre-season friendly, signaling that the deal could be close to completion.

KCCA FC has been active in the transfer market, already securing the signings of Bright Anukani, Emmanuel Amanya, Shafik Nana Kwikiriza, Isa Mubiru, and Sharif Ssengendo.

Under the guidance of head coach Abdullah Mubiru, who led the team to a fourth-place finish in the previous Uganda Premier League season, the club is looking to strengthen its squad for the challenges ahead.
