Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC has announced the signing of experienced forward Derrick Nsibambi on a two-year deal, effective until June 2026.
Nsibambi returns to the club where he began his professional career, having previously played for KCCA FC from 2014 to 2018.
Nsibambi expressed his excitement about rejoining the club, stating, “I’m happy to be back home where it all started. I know this club through and through, and I know what it means to the fans. I can’t wait to get started again.”
During his first stint with KCCA FC, Nsibambi scored several crucial goals, including a late winner against Egypt’s Al Masry in 2017, which helped the team qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
He has also represented the Uganda national team in various tournaments.
Since leaving KCCA, Nsibambi has played for several clubs in Egypt, Ethiopia, Uganda, Oman, and Kenya.
He now returns to Omondi Stadium, where he will compete with fellow forwards Abubaker Mayanja and Emmanuel Anyama for a starting spot.
Nsibambi is the other addition for KCCA FC in the striking department, following the arrival of Emmanuel Anyama.
