Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC officially unveiled their squad for the 2024/25 season on Tuesday evening at a fan event at Phillip Omondi Stadium.
Unlike previously, this year’s event was more low-key, focusing solely on the presentation of the squad.
Sammy Raynald Ssebadduka was among the new arrivals – The forward has joined the club on a three-year contract, expected to bolster KCCA’s attack.
Notably absent from the unveiling were Herbert Achayi (16) and Emmanuel Loki (8), raising questions about their roles in the upcoming season.
Derrick Nsibambi, another significant signing, was confirmed to wear the No. 9 jersey, previously worn by Emmanuel Anyama during the FUFA Super 8 tournament.
The club also announced its captaincy team. Julius Poloto will retain the captain’s armband, with Filbert Obenchan, Mustafa Mujuzi, Arafat Usama, and Ashraf Mugume named as his deputies.
There was a match between KCCA FC legends and Ex-Uganda Internationals, with the former winning 6-0 thanks to goals from Willy Kavuma, Yusuf Kinene, Patrick Ssenfuka, Robert Ssentongo, Moses Musoke and Simon Okwi.
KCCA FC will kick off their Uganda Premier League campaign on Friday, September 13, at Phillip Omondi Stadium, where they will host URA FC.
