Saskatchewan invited 248 principal nominees to apply for provincial nomination on March 11.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has invited applicants from the International Skilled Worker category. Of the invitees, 72 may be eligible for the SINP Express Entry subcategory, and 176 may be nominated for the In-Demand Professions subcategory.
Regardless of the stream, invited applicants needed an Expression of Interest (EOI) score of at least 71 to be invited. They also needed an educational credential assessment to demonstrate that their studies abroad were equivalent to the Canadian standard.
Candidates are also required to have work experience in one of 70 in-demand occupations in the province that are listed on SINP’s website. Some of the eligible occupations include purchasing agents and agents, social and community service workers, and educational consultants.

Basics on SINP’s Occupation In-Demand category
The In-Demand Professions subcategory is a Basic Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), which means it is open to immigrant applicants who do not have a federal Express Entry profile.
This sub-category is intended for highly skilled workers with experience in an occupation in demand in Saskatchewan and who do not yet have a job offer in the province.
To apply for Canadian immigration under this sub-category, foreign nationals must create an EOI profile through the SINP online application system.
Through the EOI system, the province nominated skilled immigrants who can easily adapt to the daily life of the province. Applicants will be assessed on how their work experience, education, language skills, age, and connection to the province demonstrate their ability to settle into life in Saskatchewan.
EOI profiles of the candidates will be then awarded points out of 100 based on SINP’s International Skilled Worker points assessment grid. The highest-rated candidates then receive an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in Canada.
