In a recent interview with XXL, Lil Tecca shared his ambitious plans for the coming year, expressing a desire to venture into various creative realms beyond music. The “Ransom” rapper unveiled his vision for a video game akin to Grand Theft Auto, where players can engage with any non-playable character (NPC) on the map, forming connections and undertaking various activities together.
Tecca elaborated on his multifaceted aspirations, stating, “After this album, get into film. I want to direct a TV show. I’ma start writing up dialogue for that and a timeline. I want to start doing acting classes. I want to create a video game where you could walk up to an NPC and become friends with ’em and be like, ‘Yo, what’s up? Let’s go to the store. Let’s do some crazy sh*t.’ Kind of like Grand Theft Auto, but you could talk to everyone that’s walking around like, they’re not just dormant.”
While the gaming industry anticipates the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 in 2025, Lil Tecca’s imaginative concept adds an interactive and dynamic layer to player-NPC interactions.
In the interview, Lil Tecca also delved into his latest album, “TEC,” released in September. He explained that the project aimed to address more personal topics, offering listeners deeper insights into his background and aspirations. As he gears up for a U.S. and European tour in 2024, fans can expect further updates on Lil Tecca’s evolving creative ventures throughout the year.
