Andrew Ssebunya the ex-boyfriend to Kampala women Member of Parliament Shamim Malende has denied allegations that he was the one behind the attack on National Unity Platform (NUP) super foot soldier Julius Katongole.
Katongole who recently secured NUP ticket to represent Lubaga South at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) was attacked at Nakulabye a Kampala city suburb when he was on a boda boda and he was badly insulted by a group of boys dressed in NUP colours.
Later, it was established that the boys who attacked him are part of Ssebunya’s security and were with him when he visited the party headquarters to have a private talk with the top leadership but they abandoned their boss and followed Katongole’s movements to revenge on him.
“You people, come back here very fast. Who told you to fight that man you will bring problems for me. They will think that I’m the one who told you to attack him,” Ssebunya was heard telling his men on phone.
Sources at NUP headquarters told this website that Ssebunya’s boys believe that Katongole is having an affair with Malende and he is the one behind their breakoff
Malende abandoned her boyfriend accusing him of betrayal and confiscating her personal properties including cars and social media platforms which Ssebunya denied.
Ssebunya who is planning to join the management of boxing clubs in the city also accuses Malende of adultery and denying him conjugal rights which resulted into shim pending more than three years without having sex with her because she always claims she is sick.
He also claims that Malende has other men including an MP and one of the top NUP leader who was at the centre of securing for her a ticket in the 2021 parliamentary elections.
When contacted, Katongole said that he is still consulting his lawyers on the next move because he has all the evidence pinning the individuals who attacked him.
