Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah the Prime Minister has praised the government of Italy and AVIS, a civil society organization operating in Uganda, for their ongoing support in the country’s efforts to skill the youth and combat unemployment.
Nabbanja delivered her remarks during a keynote address at the 45th edition of the Rimini Meeting held in Italy. She is attending the event to represent Uganda and to strengthen cooperation with Italian companies, particularly in supporting Ugandan farmers with value addition to coffee.
In her address, the Prime Minister emphasized Uganda’s focus on creating opportunities for the youth through digital skills, which are key to sustainable development.
During her visit, Nabbanja was also hosted by Radio Maria, one of the leading Catholic radio stations, at its headquarters in Rome. Radio Maria operates branches across Uganda and around the world.
Nabbanja is accompanied by the State Minister for Agriculture, Fred Bwino Kyakulaga, and the Executive Director of the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), Robert Mukiza.
