The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has urged Parliament to pay more attention to health reform legislation when passing laws, as they are of utmost importance to the country’s development and should be taken seriously.
There are still challenges in the health sector in Uganda, many people cannot get enough treatment and something should be done to improve them.
The Katikkiro was speaking at the Royal Palace in Mengo when he met Speaker of Parliament Nalongo Annet Anita Among, Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa and MPs, who came to buy the jerseys for the Kabaka birthday run. They bought jerseys worth shs 50,000,000/=.
The Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, has said that if Uganda is to develop, it must focus on health in all parts of the country. Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among thanked the King for his efforts to change the lives of the people including health.
Speaker Anita Among, Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayeebwa and MPs brought gifts to the Kabaka.
The Buganda Caucus MPs led by their Chairman and Butambala MP Muhamed Muwanga Kivumbi have bought jerseys worth 10,500,000/=.
