Kampala – A few days after President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has announced his new cabinet for the term 2026 to 2031, he has made some adjustments.
Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng and Hon. Justine Kasule Lumumba.
In the first appointments, Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng who served as the Minister for Health in the previous cabinet, was appointed as Minister for ICT and National Guidance, the position which has then changed to Government Chief Whip.
Hon. Justine Kasule Lumumba had been appointed as the Government Chief Whip, however after some legal consultations it was established that a non Member of Parliament can’t hold that position thereby leading to some changes, and she was appointed the Minister for ICT and National Guidance.
The newly appointed Ministers are expected to appear before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee next week for approval.
