The deputy speaker of parliament Rt. Hon Thomas Tayebwa has been hit by another scandal whereby he is forcing Mitooma district service commission to recruit his brother in law dr. Wilberforce Owembabazi.
Dr. Owembabazi retired from Bushenyi local government long time ago and decided to join USAID and after its closure by the US president Donald Trump he decides to come back illegally.
Public service act and public service standing orders do not allow a retired civil servant to come back to service when actually they have duly retired from service.
Rt. Hon Tayebwa is riding on a fact that the District service commission was put in place by his closest friend and retiring District Chairman Benon Karyeija.
Among the service commission members include Daudi Bangirana, the father of Thomas Tayebwa and the father in-law of the candidate Dr. Wilberforce Owembabazi.
www.mknewslink.com MD visited Mitooma district local government headquarters today to ascertain the truth of the matter surrounding the recruitment of the executive consultant in department of health and the truth was found that the deputy speaker is involved in the threats to heads of departments who qualify for the job not to apply and shy away.
Thomas Tayebwa is a member of parliament for Ruhinda North in Mitooma and has bribed his way to the next parliament after buying Patrick out a potential candidate against him therefore he is now unopposed.
According to staff at the district and the residents, the interference of deputy speaker is evident in the affairs of Mitooma local government and therefore the President should intervene and save the district from crushing down.
Effort to talk to Tayebwa on his known mobile phones were futile as he couldn’t answer our repeated calls.
