The Rubirizi distrct chairman Sylvester Agubanshorora yesterday steped down for the NRM flagbearer and candidate Mr. Obed Byakureka.
According to the NRM chairman for Rubirizi district Mr. Manyire Edgar, the development came to pass after the parliamentary deputy speaker Rt. Hon Thomas Tayebwa visited the district to launch campaigns for President Museveni.
Mr. Manyire told www.mknewslink.com that the people who were there observed the incident as the good spirit by the retiring chairman and wished him well in his retirement.
He added that after observation of the good spirit with non-inner fighting, the party in the district is heading to growth and continuity.
The NRM chairman observed that President Museveni will get over 95 % votes from the district.
