Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) issues 259 invitations in the latest provincial draw held on May 6 inviting immigrants to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent resident.
Candidates were invited from SINP’s International Skilled Worker category. 136 immigrants were invited from Express entry sub-category and 123 from the Occupation in-demand sub-category.
The last two rounds of invitations resulted in fewer invitations than in comparison to previous draws through SINP’s Expression of Interest (EOI). The province uses an EOI system to manage the candidate pool for the Express Entry and In-Demand Profession subcategories.

Regardless of the stream, invited applicants needed an EOI score of at least 70 to be invited. They also needed an educational credential assessment to demonstrate that their training abroad was comparable to the Canadian standard and their work experience in one of the 63 in-demand occupations listed on the government webpage.
The EOI system enables the province to select skilled immigrants who can easily adapt to daily life in the province and thrive in the labour market. All the profiles under the EOI system will be assessed based on the factors like education, work experience, age, language skills, and strong connection to the province.
All the profiles are awarded points out of 100 based on the SINP’s International Skilled Worker points assessment grid. The highest-rated candidates then receive an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in Canada.
All the express entry candidates who get a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan, are given a major boost of 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points added to their overall CRS score. These many points effectively guarantee an Invitation To Apply (ITA) to submit their application for Canada PR Visa to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
