She Cranes player Faridah Kadondi has been officially unveiled as the newest addition to England’s Netball Super League side, Nottingham Forest Netball Club.
Kadondi makes the move from Uganda’s Weyonje Netball Club, based in Makindye.
The lanky Kadondi primarily plays as a Goal Defender (GD) but is also adept as a Goalkeeper (GK).
At Nottingham Forest, she will be competing with rising star Jayda Pechova, another new recruit, for a starting position.
In addition to her netball prowess, Kadondi also played basketball for the KCCA Leopards in Uganda’s National Basketball League.
Kadondi was a member of the She Cranes squad that secured an impressive fifth-place finish at the Netball World Cup in South Africa.
She notably shone on the international stage at the 2022 Fast5 World Series, where she was named Player of the Match during Uganda’s clash with powerhouse Australia.
Nottingham Forest Netball Club, under the guidance of England Roses legend and new Head Coach Chelsea Pitman, will make its debut in the 2025 Netball Super League.
Kadondi becomes the latest Netball export from Uganda after Peace Proscovia, Mary Nuba and Stella Oyella.
