Popular singer Patrick Mulwana, known by his stage name Alien Skin, has this afternoon reported to Katwe Police Division to answer questions related to the murder of renowned dancer Namuwaya Wilfred, popularly known as Top Dancer.
According to sources at Katwe Police, Alien Skin initially visited one of the police directors, who advised him to report to the Officer in Charge of Crime Intelligence (CI) at Katwe. He was subsequently handed over to the Officer in Charge of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for further questioning.
Preliminary investigations allege that on 20th September 2025, Namuwaya Wilfred was forcibly taken from his residence in Ndeeba by a man identified as Musomali, said to be linked to the Fangone Forest music crew. Namuwaya was reportedly taken to Alien Skin’s residence in Kizungu Zone, Makindye Division, where he was allegedly assaulted under Alien Skin’s orders.
Sources claim that the motive behind the assault was disciplinary action for leaving the Fangone Forest crew without permission. After the beating, Namuwaya was allegedly dumped by the roadside, where Good Samaritans found him and rushed him to Mulago National Referral Hospital. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries on 22nd September 2025.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, confirmed the artist’s appearance at the station.
“We recorded his statement about the death of Namuwaya Wilfred, alias Top Dancer, who passed away two weeks ago at Mulago Hospital. The case file will be forwarded to the Resident State Attorney for further guidance,” Onyango said.
