The Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited has reported a nationwide power blackout on Friday morning.
In a statement, UETCL apologized for the inconveniences caused by the blackout.
“A national blackout has been registered this morning following a load rejection test at the Karma hydro power plant,” UETCL said, adding that system restoration is underway.
