Uganda Premier League (UPL) club Wakiso Giants have confirmed forward Tevin Kyeyune as their eighth new signing.
The versatile attacker has joined the Purple Sharks on a two year contract from another UPL side NEC.
“We’re excited to welcome Kyeyune Tevin, a towering forward, to the club on a two year contract! Tevin is an exciting project for the future, and we can’t wait to see his impact on the pitch,” the club announced on Friday.
The Wakiso club has also officially acquired the services of defenders Issack Mtengwa and Shaibu Mtita on a loan from Tanzanian giants Yanga.
Besides Mtengwa and Mtita, the Purple Sharks have so far unveiled six other new signings including Kyeyune, Josephat Ayebare, Hudson Mbalire, Vincent Zziwa, Derrick Kaija and Eric Kabamba.
The Wakiso club has also assembled a new set of coaches, with Steven Bengo leading the technical team as head coach, and Tonny Mawejje his assistant.
Last season, Wakiso Giants finished eleventh of 16 UPL teams to secure another season in the top division, after collecting 32 points from 29 games.
