The paradox of elections, the real experiences of elective politics

Having played elective politics for some time I have observed a series of experiences which I would love to share and find answers.

The electorate in anyway doesn’t care about you or anyone else unless they have been convinced by a third party especially media and other people.Usually people don’t care who you’re or your relatives or atrocities you’ve committed.

As long as you manage to hype your image in their eyes, reecho your name in their ears reverberate your presence on their tongues and make sure your scent and aroma penetrates their noses.

Museveni lost the 1980 elections because he failed on all counts on the above indices. You can achieve the above points negatively and still win as long you fulfill the above.

For instance your opponent can say you’re a drug addict, this can be your advantage to market you in the ears of the people.

A case in point, Mayor Sebaggala(rip) was incarcerated in a US prison and it became his advantage!

The negative news President Donald Trump makes always make him a favorite!

Without this negative news Museveni was not even near the second position in the 1980 elections, but after attacking police stations and Kabamba and displaced us in Luwero with the likes of Nadduli losing their children, he became a hero, now is winning.

Nambooze would not have been the MP for Mukono Municipality if it had not been the negative news about her arrest and the rest is history.

Many people have won and now in parliament not because they’re the best but because there was negative news about them or they moved against the status quo and conventional wisdom.

I would like to inquire whether politics is a satanic venture which reward those doing the contrary.

The arrest of Kakwenza is also making me think whether he is going to stand for something big or the one arresting is trying to drum up a spiral of negative news for his adventure?

Bobi wine became a formidable candidate because of his weaknesses and Besigye thrived when the state tried to highlight his black spots.

I bet no Reveland father can preach his way to parliament.

Bakaluba Mukasa decide to become a chameleon to survive and if he was required to keep his word as the bible says, he would be down and out.

In a real matchup without Mambas , flying squad, military,  SFC , Lumbuye can out smart  speaker Oulanya in a general election, and Full figure can win vice President Jesca Alupo for Kampala Mayoral elections.
