HAYS Recruitment Agency on Sunday, the 14th, successfully held a colourful and well-attended send-off ceremony for more than 200 Ugandan men and women heading for employment opportunities abroad, marking yet another milestone in the agency’s contribution to labour export and youth employment.
The event took place at HAYS head offices in Lubowa and attracted a wide range of guests, including government officials, social media influencers, comedians, musicians, relatives and friends of the successful candidates. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and hope as beneficiaries prepared to begin a new chapter of their lives.

Speaking to this reporter, Sam Lugumayo, one of the candidates selected to travel, expressed gratitude and joy for the opportunity. He said the job offer had changed his life and pledged to work hard to make his parents and family proud.
“I am very happy and thankful to HAYS for this chance. I promise to represent my country well and support my family back home,” Lugumayo said.
All the candidates successfully departed on Sunday to various destinations in the Middle East, including the United Arab Emirates—Abu Dhabi and Dubai—as well as Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The smooth processing and organised travel arrangements highlighted HAYS’ professionalism and commitment to safe and legal labour migration.


HAYS officials noted that the agency continues to open doors for Ugandans seeking employment abroad. Security interviews are scheduled to continue this Thursday at the HAYS headquarters in Lubowa, targeting more applicants interested in overseas jobs.
The agency also emphasized that registration is ongoing and completely free of charge, encouraging willing and qualified Ugandans to apply and take advantage of the opportunities available.
