A delegation from the Uganda Moslem Education Association (UMEA) has concluded an inspection tour of facilities at Nkoma Secondary School in Mbale City as preparations intensify for the 38th edition of the UMEA Solidarity Games set for April 2–6, 2026.
The team, headed by Solidarity Games Chairman Hajji Twahir Kitezala, evaluated the readiness of sports venues and accommodation facilities to ensure the host school is fully prepared to welcome participating institutions.
Hajji Kitezala expressed satisfaction with the progress made at the school, particularly highlighting the improvements and renovations carried out ahead of the games.
“I am impressed by the renovations and new developments within and around the school. These improvements will not only enhance sports activities but also uplift the overall standards of our Muslim schools,” he said.
The Headteacher of Nkoma Secondary School also welcomed the delegation and extended an invitation to all Muslim schools to participate in the upcoming games. He emphasized that the event will strengthen unity among the institutions while providing a platform for nurturing young sporting talent.
Members of the inspection team included UMEA General Secretary Hajji Hussein Lwebawo, Technical In-Charge Ayub Kalifah, Hajji Ndugwa Badru, and Nkoma SS Headteacher Kawanguzi Abubakar.
With the inspection successfully completed, Nkoma Secondary School has reaffirmed its readiness to host what promises to be a vibrant and competitive edition of the 2026 UMEA Solidarity Games.
