USSSA Qualifiers: Kibuli SS Sweep Kampala Table Tennis Qualifiers with Unbeaten Gold Medal Double

Kibuli Secondary School reaffirmed their dominance in school table tennis after clinching double gold in both the boys’ and girls’ categories at the USSSA Kampala regional qualifiers held at Ham Stadium, Nakivubo.

The one-day competition attracted at least twelve teams—six in the boys’ category and six in the girls’—with matches played in a round-robin format. Kibuli SS stood head and shoulders above the rest, going unbeaten in all their fixtures across both divisions.

In the boys’ category, Kibuli SS delivered a flawless campaign to secure the gold medal. Mbogo College followed in second place to claim silver, while Caltec Academy completed the podium positions with bronze.

The girls’ team mirrored the boys’ excellence, successfully defending their title with another dominant display. Mbogo High School finished second to take silver, as Mbogo College settled for bronze.

Kampala Region will send six teams per gender to the upcoming national championships, with Kibuli SS emerging as strong contenders following their commanding performance.

The medalists and winners are set to be officially crowned on Tuesday, April 14, at Ham Stadium Nakivubo, marking the climax of the Kampala regional qualifiers.
