Vice President Jessica Alupo now doesn’t have any press secretary or media handler after she fired Pamela Ankunda who has been hoping from one job to another. Ankunda at first worked at media center under Robert Kabushenga and after that she went to ministry of internal affairs and worked under Aronda Nyakayirima.
From the ministry of internal affairs Ankunda worked at UCC where she didn’t get on well with PR director Fred Otunnu. From UCC, she grassed a bit and later landed on Jessica Alupo who made her press secretary after mistreating veteran journalist Conan Busingye who quit his job at New Vision to work under her.
Ankunda also applied for the job of PRO NIRA but was rejected after the bosses at Kololo realized she’s not an easy person. She is now out there looking for where to go next as Alupo remains without a press secretary.
The Vice President is difficult and it was clear from day one it wasn’t going to be easy for Pamela Ankunda. This explains why the VP’s twitter account is nowadays not very active and it takes long for her stuff to get posted there after public functions.
