Seven Suspects in Custody Linked to the Shooting Death of Engineer Daniel Bbosa

According to an official statement released by the Uganda Police Force, it has been revealed that a total of seven suspects are currently in custody in connection with the shooting death of businessman and clan leader Eng. Daniel Bbosa. The incident occurred on February 25, 2024, around 6 p.m. in Lungujja Parish as Eng. Daniel Bbosa was on his way home to Kikandwa zone.

The Joint Crime Intelligence/CID task teams, in collaboration with the KMP territorial team, spearheaded the operation leading to the apprehension of the suspects. Among those detained are Lujja Noah, who is currently hospitalized and under guard, and Milly Naluwenda of Kisekwa Court. Both individuals have been implicated as accomplices in the violent murder.

Additionally, five other suspects, whose identities have been withheld pending legal guidance from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), are believed to have played significant roles in the planning and execution of the murder plot targeting Eng. Daniel Bbosa. These suspects are alleged to have conspired with others, who are currently at large but are actively being pursued by law enforcement authorities.

Furthermore, the police have disclosed that the wanted suspects, who remain fugitives, are known to the authorities. Intensive efforts are underway to locate and apprehend all individuals involved in the violent murder of Eng. Daniel Bbosa, as well as the related cases involving the ride-along killers of Serunkuuma Enock and Lujja Noah.

A comprehensive account detailing the preparation meetings, planning stages, acquisition of the murder weapon, hiring of assailants, and execution of the murder will be provided to the public in due course. The police have reassured the family and loved ones of the deceased that justice will be served, and all responsible parties will be brought to account for their actions.

In a solemn conclusion, it was reported that Eng. Daniel Bbosa was laid to rest at the Ndiga Clan burial grounds in Mbale village, Mpigi Town Council, on March 3, 2024, at approximately 1 p.m. The police deployed territorial teams in the Katonga region to ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the burial ceremony, honoring the memory of the deceased.
