Ebola Outbreak: Parliament Limits State of the Nation Address to Elected MPs and Selected Staff


Kampala– As we are left with few days to the State of the Nation Address where President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to address the Country men on a number of issues in the country, the Parliament has issued new guidelines to be followed.

According to Mr. Adolf Mwesige, the Clerk to Parliament, this has been as a result the Ebola Outbreak in the country.
“Only Members of the 12th Parliament and Select Officials of Parliament will attend the function. All Guests earlier invited are advised NOT TO ATTEND PHYSICALLY as Parliament has made arrangements for virtual attendance of the Proceedings.”
Others who will not be able to attend virtually will follow the proceedings on all Parliament Social Media Platforms and the National Broadcaster will air the State of the Nation Address live for the General public.
The State of Nation Address will take place on 4th June 2026 at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.
