Here in malawi because we have so many talented people so many talented musicians so many talented artists here so yeah the industry is really tight okay let’s talk about you who who is chizzo she’s a monster christmas thing is just another ghetto you yeah okay from the streets of malawi okay i do

Reggae and dance music that’s my basic thing that’s what i do of course apart from that i’m also a businessman i do sell my brand i i got t-shirts printed rasta boy i’m selling them here in malawi and of course i also received some people from outside okay requesting

Requesting for the t-shirts but then i don’t have i don’t have connections yet to send them outside my life but soon i’m going to start sending them out but then basically i am chismos thing the regular dancer artist yeah um are you a dj because i i saw some of

Your mixed steps i think somewhere uh i’m not okay in dancehall they cause some those people who does soft dance of music they are called c j’s suggest and when you sing j yeah so when you do hardcore when you do hardcore and staff you’re called a dj so i might say yes

I’m a dj but then in an understanding under understanding of dance music but then i don’t do the dj stuff like the the dj the club djs no i don’t do that so um who is who is inspiring your career actually so many people but mostly is life life

He’s a reggae artist well chikun is a dancer artist but he also does reggae so i listened to a couple of guys back in the days but now when it goes to outside music then i listen most to reggae reggae artists like chronix pyramid cava um

Do you have do you have any aims of leaving uh your music leaving malawi all at the time you want to conquer malawi um i put my eyes outside wherever i am you know if i am in africa if i’m representing africa i have to look

Outside africa so i can get my message out there so if i’m in malawi i’m here by back but then i just have to explore so my my vision my dream is really to go out places so that my message can reach out to so many people as i can

Okay um so tell me about your music do you have any uh major collaboration uh major collaborations you’ve done with people outside africa i mean in africa besides malawi uh now i don’t have any international collabo so far but then i’m looking forward to that i just have to make that happen

Of course it’s okay i could do a cover but then i just feel like doing something new doing something new With that that could make a difference you know so yeah i would love to work with some other artists outside malawi african and outside africa in africa i look up to chateau alex tonboy and there is outside there is chronics um Is also releasing an album and uh yeah there are some major players do you have any any artist majorly you know in uganda hello hello yes i was asking do you have any artists you know in uganda that you enjoy music maybe music crossed to malawi yeah

I know this lady this lady queen sheba is from uganda yeah which is that song that goes to malawi quinchi but um i i just said a couple of songs you know it’s actually my girlfriend oh she likes her she likes her a lot and then

I’ve listened to a couple of songs of her and i’m like oh she’s really good and i i like her performances she got the energy and everything that’s really big and huge okay um someone some but i got an information that camilo is big in malawi he’s he’s easy that big

Yeah so that guy is from uganda camellia yeah jose camille yeah you know i grew up watching his videos on tv like chameleon is really big like really big and he’s a legend here when we talk of chameleon everybody has to know him as and some somebody who had really a big impact

On our music industry like from outside okay okay um let’s talk about about let’s talk more of um the challenges you’re facing as an artist um yeah challenges challenges are always there challenges you know challenges are part of life yeah man yeah man and they always always mind us to keep fighting hard

Keep pushing hard so that we could overcome them and get over them just to survive and make it different so so many challenges you know more especially here in enough africa here in malawi because you have any issues do you have any issues concerning management money for promotion uh

Tvs and radios refusing to play your music yeah and the biggest challenge is financial support okay because i can always put out an item i can always put out my music i can always go to the studio record new stuff each and every week each and every month but then

For them to reach out there there’s going to be need of money and not just money but then huge amount of money that i cannot afford to generate by myself yeah so the biggest problem i can say the biggest challenge i have is the financial support okay so
