Stecia’s Lawyers threaten Legal Action Against NPP

KAMPALA – Lunar Advocates on behalf of Almagic Uganda, the company in charge of Stecia Mayanja’s musical performance, have threatened to sue National Pleasants Party (NPP) for trying to infringe on people’s businesses.

This followed NPP’s summons to its President, Hajjati Stecia Mayanja requiring to appear before it’s disciplinary committee for Performing at President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s event without permission from the Party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC).

“Take notice that Hajat Stecia Mayanja Farida is contracted to our client as an artist/brand name and it is therefore part and parcel of her contractual obligations to perfom when and where the company would have been requisitioned by all and sundry to provide entertainment services.” Reads part of the letter dated 25th September 2025.

Therefore, the National Peasants Party , has been urged withdraw their purported summons to avoid legal action.

“Our client is registered to your party as an individual and not as a performing artist. You have to draw a clear line to that éffect. In the circumstances therefore, our client is an independent entity and it deems it fit and necessary based on the demands at hand to schedule performance of the said Hajat Stecia Mayanja Farida as a performing artist anywhere and at an appropriate time.”

On Tuesday, Yoweri Kaguta was nominated by the Electoral Commission to contest in 2026 General elections and held his first rally at Kololo Airstrip where several Artists including Stecia Mayanja praised him.
