DPP AND NFA OFFICES BUILT ON A DISPUTED LAND IN BUSHENYI

A 72 year old man Rutafa George has been battling land case since 1998 intending to evict offices of DPP and NFA which he alleges that are occupying his land at Bushenyi district headquarters.
George Rutafa showed his letter to mknewslink.com written and signed by the CAO Mr. Johnson Bitarabeho dated on 20th May 2002, the CAO Mr. Johnson Bitarabeho quoted the executive committee meeting 24th July 2001 under minute 94/2001 resolved to remove all the neighbors whose pieces of land are in the district title by the district survey.
After negotiation fail Rutafa decided to go to court in 2018 and up to now the case has never been heard and has been adjourned until March 2026.
Rutafa calls upon the president of Uganda to intervene because the district DPP and NFA has been adamant to demolish NFA, DPP offices or compensate him.
“Do they want me to die without compensation or getting my land back because I started this case since1998 up to date and am now old man without any assistance I call upon the president to send in his staff mainly the minister of state for lands Dr. Sam Mayanja to sort the matter once and for all.”
He noted that he does not have money to pay the lawyers because he doesn’t have stable income so any assistance rendered to him from the president is highly welcome.
