The federal government is in charge of national border control and immigration, which means federal law supercedes any other laws. Civilized society is run by laws. Sorry, that's the way it works. If you want to change the laws and the Constitution, good luck. It's not an occupation when federal agents go into a state to conduct their responsibility. The question is, for "undocumented immigrants" who have been in the country for a long time, why was strict enforcement not carried out earlier? Is it because some states refused to obey the Constitution and the rule of law, or was it because previous federal administrations chose not to enforce the law? How do those factor in between someone who broke the law a decade or two ago, and someone who broke the law recently? That debate is on the federal level, not the state level. Enforcement is on the federal level, not the state law. Non-compliance on the state, city, and individual levels is not a legal option. There are ways to change the laws and this is not it.
