Lugogo Cricket Oval will play host to both the National Men’s T20 League semifinals on Sunday as the quartet of Wanderers, Ceylon Lion, Rounders and Tornado Cricket Clubs vie for a place in the final.

Ceylon Lions and Tornado won their quarterfinal bouts comfortably, but Wanderers and Rounders had to dig deep to progress to this stage.

The former had their captain Ivan Kakande to thank as they edged Kutchi Tigers by 2 runs. Kakande picked three wickets to deny the Tigers success in their chase.

Rounders on the other hand pipped Nyakasura by 1 wickets. Prior the game Nyakasura had been favourites, but they were sent packing when Rounders successfully chased the required total.

The semifinal tie pits Rounders against Tornado. Both sides will fancy their chances to storm the final as it appears to be a balanced affair.

Ceylon Lions on the other are the favourites to clinch the other semifinal. With Cricket Cranes players Robinson Obuya, Siraje Nsubuga and Juma Miyaji in their ranks, they have an arsenal to do just that.

Wanderers will however, not present themselves as a punching bag. With Suleman Sharif and Vinod Patel- two of the top five top run scorers in the batting chart and their skipper, Wanderer can cause an upset.

The Wanderers game will bowl off at 10:00am while the other game will take place at 2:00pm.
