Kataka beat Onduparaka 2-1 at Mbale Municipal stadium to record their tenth win in the betpawa Big League this season.
Kataka captain Steven Namaisi’s long throw-in yet again produced another goal, as he assisted Latif Ssenkubuge to open the scoring in the first half.
In the 33rd minute, Namaisi threw in a long ball into the Onduparaka box, it went past the goalkeeper Hamadian Ajida for Latif Ssenkubuge to head-in from close range.
In the 80th minute, Onduparaka got an equaliser through James Jarieko who headed-in from Junior Andama’s well delivered freekick.
Onduparaka played the last ten minutes with a man less, as centreback Bernard Ndifuna received a second booking, and was sent off to leave a visible gap in the visitors’ defence.
With a minute left to clock 90, Isaac Balyejusa maneuvered through the Onduparaka defence to beat Ajida and find the back of the net at the death, sending the fans at Mbale stadium into wild celebrations.
After 19 games, Kataka, who have also lost six times and drawn thrice will stay fourth on the 15-team table, just four points below log leaders Police (37) who have played a game less.
