Onduparaka FC beat Kyetume FC at their own backyard to register their first away victory in the 2023/24 FUFA Big League season.
The Westnile-based side visited the Slaughters in Mukono and left with all three points, three goals and a clean-sheet!
The Caterpillars scored three early, unanswered goals past Kyetume at the Nakisunga Ssaza Ground on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
Rashid Yakini, Ezra Bida and Ceasar Okhuti’s first half goals were all Onduparaka needed to win 3-0 after 90 minutes of football in Mukono.
The Caterpillars, who have made the Greenlight Stadium in Arua their fortress since their Uganda Premier League days have on the other hand quite struggled to get positive results away from home.
From 15 games played before the Sunday match, Onduparaka had won just six times, and all of the victories had come at home.
After 16 games comprising of seven wins, two draws and seven losses, Onduparaka now moves to 23 points.
The Caterpillars have now ascended to seventh position on the 15-team table – six points and five places above relegation, just within five points below top four.
